Eucalyptus Essential Oil Profile: The eucalyptus tree originated in Australia. It had been founded by the Aborigines tribes native to the land. They first used the oil as a remedy to treat skin problems and fevers, and not surprisingly the eucalyptus tree has been commonly known as the “fever tree”, and today commonly used as an ingredient in many cold and cough remedies because of its strong germicidal and antibacterial effects.

Physical Uses: Because of the strong antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral effects, Eucalyptus essential oil has been known for its treatment for fevers, colds, and respiratory ailments (specifically decongestion). In addition, the oil has been used in skin care to treat acne, insect bites, and sunburn. With its analgesic effects, Eucalyptus Essential Oil has been used in preparations to relieve muscle, nerve and joint pain.

- For Mental Fatigue: Blend 4 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil with 2 drops Lemon Essential Oil in a diffuser or aromatherapy lamp to stimulate the nervous system and promote concentration.
- To Purify the Sickroom: Place 5 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil in a diffuser to kill germs in the air and reduce the number of airborne bacteria.
- For Fevers: Mix 3 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil with 3 drops Fennel Essential Oil in a diffuser and inhale deeply. The mixture will help your body discharge unwanted toxins.
- To Relieve Sinus and Chest Congestion: Combine 5 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil with 1 drop Peppermint Essential Oil. Add crushed dried herbs of Eucalyptus and Peppermint for optimal effects and place ½ ounce of mixture in a clean sock, knot the end and place inside of your pillowcase overnight.
