Mandarin Essential Oil
Mandarin Essential Oil Profile: The mandarin tree originated in China and named after the high officials of the former Chinese Empire. Mandarins were typically reserved exclusively for the king, and later used as traditional gifts to high class society members. When mandarins were more widely harvested, they extended to the lower classes of society. Known as the “golden apple”, their new tradition includes eating mandarins on New Year’s Day as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity in the new year. Today, the mandarin tree is common to southern Europe, South America and Japan.
